REPORT OF MOTOR CEMENT MILL-2

 

MOTOR DETAILS:

 

POWER:4.9 MW SPEED: 985 rpm

 

OBSERVATION: We have two identical Ball Mill in our faculty i.e. NATIONAL CEMENT COMPANY YEMEN, Since December 2018 we (the conditioning monitoring team) measuring and record the casing vibration data of both Mill-1 & Mill-2 motors and gearbox.

 

Mill -1 motor envelope acceleration is trending between 3-6 gE in DE side bearing and acceleration under 0.1 g due to babbitt bearing use.

But we observed the high envelope acceleration in DE side in our Mill-2 motor in the last few months and its on increasing trend, highest vibration was recorded 24 gE in August 22 and recommended to check oil leakage in oiling system and inspect internal labyrinth seal that was fault. The value reduced to 5 gE.

 

 

 

Ball Mill-2 Motor DE gE trend And after that increase to 10 gE in these days.

As Envelope acceleration is skf special tool to detect friction and our bearing is sleeve bearing where this only indicator that give us alert about problem in oiling system.

 

 

 

DE Side Motor Envelope Acceleration FFT

 

  • The temperature trend in CCR the temperature of DE motor bearing of Mill2 is reachingto 72o that is higher than DE motor bearing of mill 1

 

 

  • The oil samples collected from the oil tank and from filter but as these white metal bearings we have not available oil analysis in
  • The Frequently time to inspect this type of bearing is 2 years where in this bearings of motor mill 2 not checked in near past

 

 

RECOMMENDATION

 

  • Inspectthe bearings condition

– Repair the oil leakage in pipes of oiling system
