Maintainance
Cement plant Mechanical Maintenance
Mechanical maintenance in a cement plant covers the main production areas, rotating equipment, utilities, and the support systems that keep the line operating safely and reliably.
Quarry and crushers area
- Inspect crushers, transfer points, chutes, and wear parts.
- Check vibration, lubrication, and alignment on drive units.
- Watch for spillage, dust build-up, and feeder issues.
Reclaiming and stacking station
- Check bucket wheels, stacker/reclaimer drives, rails, wheels, and guide rollers.
- Inspect lubrication, alignment, and structural wear.
- Keep an eye on material flow and belt or chain tracking.
Raw mills area
- Inspect apron feeders, raw mill drives, mill bearings, diaphragms, liners, and lubrication circuits.
- Check gearbox condition, backlash, vibration, and temperature.
- Verify the condition of mill body, trunnions, and hydraulic systems.
Kiln area
- Inspect kiln shell, tyres, rollers, seals, thrust system, girth gear, pinions, and drive train.
- Monitor alignment, gear mesh, lubrication, and roller bearing condition.
- Check the preheater tower and feed-lifting systems connected to kiln operation.
Clinker cooler
- Inspect grate cooler drives, hydraulic systems, hammer crusher, and discharge mechanisms.
- Check wear on grate plates, fans, and bearings.
- Watch for overheating, air leakage, and material build-up.
Clinker transportation and clinker silos
- Inspect pan conveyors, drag chains, buckets, rails, wheels, guide rollers, and drive gearboxes.
- Check silos, spillage points, and transfer paths.
- Verify smooth clinker flow and avoid choking points.
Cement mill area
- Inspect ball mills, mill heads, bearings, liners, diaphragms, and drive systems.
- Check vibration, lubrication, alignment, and wear.
- Keep an eye on auxiliary systems such as feeders and conveyors.
Maintenance of gearboxes
- Check vibration, oil condition, bearing temperature, backlash, and tooth contact.
- Inspect shafts, housings, seals, couplings, and alignment.
- Repair pitting, broken teeth, and lubrication issues promptly.
Raw and cement material pumps
- Inspect screw pump bodies, drive units, bearings, and mixing chambers.
- Check discharge flow, wear, and air supply to pneumatic circuits.
- Keep feed consistency stable to avoid blockages and overloading.
Dust collectors
- Inspect filter bags, cages, hoppers, pulsing air jets, ducts, and fans.
- Watch pressure drop, emissions, and cleaning performance.
- Repair leaks and bag damage quickly to protect the line.
Vertical mill
- Inspect grinding table, rollers, hydraulic system, separator, and bearings.
- Monitor vibration, pressure, wear, and output quality.
- Keep lubrication and alignment under control.
Utilities
- Check hydraulic pumps, water pumps, compressors, blowers, and air dryers.
- Inspect electrical motors, couplings, and connected circuits.
- Use routine inspection and preventive work to avoid plant stoppages.
