Dedusting & Bag Filter Calculator

Calculate extraction air volume for dust collection points, then size the bag filter

How to Use This Calculator

  1. Step 1 – Select equipment type and enter dimensions: width, throughput, temperature for belt conveyors, bucket elevators, vibrating screens, crushers, transfer chutes, or silos
  2. Click “Calculate Extraction Air”: to get required air volume in m³/h at operating temperature
  3. Step 2 – Enter total gas volume from all dedusting points: operating temperature, and air-to-cloth ratio
  4. Enter bag dimensions and click “Size Bag Filter”: to get filter area, number of bags, and duct diameter

Step 1: Dedusting Point Air Volume

Chute length or elevator height
For conveyors/screens
For elevators: if <12m, V=0
For crushers

Step 2: Bag Filter Sizing

Sum of all dedusting points
Pulse-jet: 1.0-1.5, Reverse-air: 0.5-0.8
Std: 120-160 mm
Std: 3-8 m
